Hello
I fittered a new air filter but l think l soaked it in too much gear oil. On starting there was a lot of white smoke. I have squeezed the excess oil and cleaned the air filter box, but it is still not running smoothly at low revs. At higher revs it runs fine. I was hoping it would resolve itself after a few runs, but it's still not running right. Does anyone know how l can remedy the problem please? Thanks

I would not of thought it's the air filter if it's still not running right after you have cleaned filter, carbs are very fussy on these bikes.

I’d probably try removing the filter foam altogether and taking the bike for a little run to see if your low speed running problem disappears. if it still runs badly with no filter then I’d have a look at the primary jet circuit in the carbs. also probably worth doing a plug chop as this can help diagnose a myriad of dodgy running issues.

Buster is spot on and you haven't said what the bike was running like before you did the air filter
