I,m having to replace my Speedo cable and the screw/bolt that holds the cable in the Speedo drive is hard to remove as the Phillips screscrewdrive slot is badly worn , got it undone but would prefer to fit a new bolt/ screw , silvers don't list them and could,nt see any on eBay , anyone know of a supplier ?

Mine looks different to the screw in my speedo drive, it has a area with no thread & image on that silvers one has thread all the way, so I'm thinking mine must be something that a previous owner must have had handy at time he/she needed to replace.

Mine also looks different to the one on silver's
in fact when I came to remove the speedo cable the screw I had in there was not held in by anything, just merley sat in there, the hole that the screw goes in actually goes through to a hole on the other side?

One of mine was an allen (socket) bolt - removed at the earliest opportunity purely in pursuit of originality.
Shame in one respect as the damn thing was so functional.

if it was an old black deluxe with a kicker, then yep entirely possible and I’m ashamed to say I really abused that poor bike, she thanked me for it in the superdream way ie always got me there and I dont recall her ever letting me down. to this day I regret selling her...
