Charlie as ad this superdream for about 20 years went to start it today no joy no spark.going tomorrow to see what's up got to get it going as are Las will not let me out on the bike without someone. with me.the guy is 81 ex tt racer. I have 2 cud units and a Coil ,bike is a 250 .there are numbers on the items they are t1a01-20 on the cdis and 129700-1370cdi on the coil i think they are 400 but cannot be sure.i think it's the alternator as he as had problems in the past.will now look for the thread on checking that alternator tonight.with building work and Foote not getting owt dun for me

When mine lost sparks it was the alternator , from the web :
Alternator resistance checks from Honda shop manual 1980. CB250N Green-White 200-500ohms(Low speed coils), Blue-White 4-7ohms(High speed coil), Green-Light blue 100-200ohms (Pickup), Green-Brown Not applicable, Green-Pink 10-30ohms (Advance coil).

No Nick , she never died just was not too healthy ! It was my NA that I sprayed powder blue , was all working nicely one day then the next completely deaded , alternator looked really nice & shiny too - just didn't work !

Sorry to say FB but I followed your exit from the FB forum. It's certainly no loss for me not being on there Boje. It is right for some, I dare say the masses, but not for me....I tried to like it and tolerate the occasional wallies, but I can do without it. Facebook does have its uses and I am on there but I will simply just use it to my advantage as when it suits, like most people do. You don't have to have an SD by the way to be welcome, you will always be one of us. Mind you, I just know it won't be long.....they always come back to haunt you. P.S - How's R.E life?

Thanks FB , good to know I'm not an outcast ! RE trundling along nicely , I still have a yearning for an SD but Carl seems to be buying them all up atm .
I am trying to reduce "stock" as still due to be moving house and will have half the storage I currently enjoy , have the CL350 and CB350SG lurking in a dark corner that need work/selling .
FB does seem to have "killed off" some forums but you do have new appreciation for this one after a spell on the FB hosted version .

Yes they seem to be popping up all over FB (one even using my 2010 MCN shoot as its main picture)....... all with obligatory 'Mr Know it all but know nothing' and inaccurate information. Anyway, I could go on but I'll save my breath for the real enthusiasts among us.

Well it is dead open circuit on the high and low speed windings, new it was on its way ignition advance packed in last year , local bike breaker as a alternator and CDI £80 and £60 for the items no guarantee no returns on electrical items.so I told charle to phone red speed shop,he still thinks he will get the parts for 10 Bob and a packet of woodbines probably what he payed for the bike 20 od years ago . Must be a age thing ,he is 82 now and as fit as a butchers dog well fish munger in his cace.so it will be a while before it's on ebay. 250 superdream with isuesi.
