Hi Everyone
Just joined today, I have acquired a 1980 CB250NA Superdream. it is in a very bad state at the moment and I am hoping to nurse it back to life. it's last date of road tax was in 86, it's been SORN ever since.
I used to have one of these about 30 years ago and I loved it (until it was stolen) so I am re-living my youth.
I hope you guys can help me get her back on the road

Never done anything like this before. when I started to dismantle it the whole exhaust system just disintegrated, the amount of nuts and bolts I also managed to shear off was also a bit worrying but that's what you get with a bike that has sat for 3o years I guess

plusgas is a good quality penetrating oil, might help with stubborn nuts and bolts as its a real pain drilling sheared bolts out

Welcome and enjoy the process. Just bag/label everything and take lots of photos of the dismantle, you’ll be surprised how useful they’ll be when you start to rebuild. Good luck

That's exactly the same problem I had. I should have labelled parts far more clearly with something that didn't fade very quickly - I used masking tape which did not work too well! Also, my photos were pretty rubbish with quite a few out of focus. Paul.

Hi pertinax, welcome along. Plenty of help here on the forum to make up for any shortcomings in the photos & labels
