Quick question. Is it possible to get a new sponge for the seat anywhere? and is it a difficult job to change it??
Thanks

I’m guessing here ( so could well be wrong) but I dont think you can buy new set foam, complete replacement seats are available (pattern) and you see second hand foam on ebay now and again. probably your only option for new foam would be to find a “block” thats big enough and of the correct density ( tricky in my experience, but should be easier now with the interweb) and shape it yourself (where have all the unwanted wedding present electric carving knives gone?) or get an experienced upholsterer to do it, hope this isnt too much bad news. could I ask whats actually wrong with the old foam?

Hi Buster Thanks for the reply. My seat is actually quite good no rips or rust. The foam at the front rider position has started to collapse a bit. So the seat is getting a little wrinkled in that area and a little on the hard side. My Wife is into quilt making and uses wadding to build out areas on her quilts. I'm going to see if I can make a repair with this. I see David Silver does a replacement seat, it looks ok apart from the pattern is different on mine. Plus I would like to keep the bike as original as possible. Ross
