Hi all It has been quite a while since I have contributed to the forum. Senior members may remember my CB400nc and I enjoyed a number of ridouts with Loz, Kickstart, wazzbo,Fungo and numerous others to Rutland, North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and elsewhere, however It is with a heavy-heart that the bike has been sold for salvage having had a van driver pull out in front of me.
My biking days are not entirely done has I will be on the lookout for a replacement SD in the winter and I will keep my membership active.
If you see PWG 19x on Ebay or elsewhere dont forget it had a coming together with a Vauxhall-combo and is a bit less straight than it was!

Hello Trotsky just seen the bike online not a lot wrong ,more strength in a lead pipe in the down tubes so very unlikely headstock damage.i would say your underwriters were AXA or ageas.they will recover costs from third party .so I would be surprised if Surrey salvage paid more than £100 for the bike even less if it was a job lot.did you not want the bike back better the devil you know, got my son's back after his incident and my cb750 as part of the settlement for very little cost.

Thanks Terry I was fine after a week. Sore knackers and wrist(no puns please).
The damage to the bike was minimal really and if it had been offered back a bit cheaper I may have had it back. Forks are bent and headlight ears are too. Brake calliper and rocker cover now leak but easy fixes. I felt I got a decent price but really fancy doing another.
