I've had 3 & still have a '94 CB500R & a 2000 CB500S with the handlebar fairing. Bland 90s looks, but brilliant do it all bikes & mega reliable. The first one I had was also a '94 R & my son had it for a couple of years, during which he commuted on it 6 days a week, it lived outside 24/7 & had minimal routine maintenance with no problems. As to room, I'm about 5' 10" and they're fine for me, but I don't know about over 6'. Performance is nothing great of course, it's a 500, but it's fine for me & it's got more power than most rival 500 twins. There's a couple of others on here with them & a forum dedicated to them - www.cb500club.net/forum

We have got a his&Hers pair of CB500s, we had them from new in 2000, they have been great bikes, we have been all over Europe on them. If you look after them they still look good after many years. The performance is great for a commuting bike too and the range makes it a great tourer.
