Spotted filling up at a service station on the A4 near Slough, Berks at approx 8:10pm tonight........one extremely tidy CB250RS in black with the blue tank top. Even had the genuine twin exhausts. 13k miles showing on MOT history.   |

funny I’v always had a soft spot for the rs which is maybe a bit odd cos I never owned or even rode one, still I live in (vague) hope of that £100 barn find...

I've owned an RS recently, and ridden a few when they were new. Totally different bike to the SD, felt more like a 175, nippy and nimble, but not particularly powerful. It felt fragile, and a little insubstantial to my 6'2 frame. If I could only have one bike, I'd take an average example of a SD over an excellent example of an RS, and the fact that, proportionately, there are many more excellent SD's than RS's, tells its own story.
