Which type of seat should my 1982 400nb superdream have fitted?
Should it be the flat type or the scalloped ridged type?
Should it be the block pattern or the chevron pattern ?
Sorry but that is the best way i could explain them....lol

I’m more wanting to know what pattern the seat should be
And I’ve noticed that some seats are flat and some are shaped that are higher towards the back of the seat

The early N & NAs had the flat seat & the NB on had the 'duck tail fairing and more shaped seat as in Pete's picture

The square pattern with the raised passenger is the seat you need

You need to watch the quality of the cover when you buy
When I did my NB seat my cover came from the states

I got a seat cover , I think it was from Florida , excellent value , came with strap too , a little over £30 posted if I remember right.....  |

I'm sure we had a CB250/400N seat identifier thread......but can't seem to locate it. As established, there were three main versions.
1) 78/79 kickstarter (chevron pattern, flatter tailpiece) 2) 1980 NA (block pattern, flatter tail piece) 3) 1981-on (block pattern, flared tail piece)
I will knock up a new one with piccies later on and put it in the bodywork section of the forum along with the tank / side panel / seat cowls. |
