Hi Guy's As promised here are a few pictures of my Superdream I collected from Birmingham on Friday. The first picture is of the Superdream I owned back in the 80's. I've been on the lookout for one the same model, colour & year as this for some time. I wanted a bike that was as original as possible.
After a bit of negotiation I managed to purchase this little beauty. It's a 1982 model the same year as my original superdream. The original owner purchased the bike in February 1982 and kept it until his death in 2000. The bike was taken off the road and stored. The person I bought the bike from bought it from the original owners family in 2015 got it roadworthy by replacing the collector box and both rear silencers and put it back on the road in 2016. It's completely original apart from the replaced collector box and rear silencers. She has only done 9401 miles and has the original tool kit and service booklet. Unfortunately the original owners manual is missing so I'll need to source one. In the folder I was given with the bike there is loads of paperwork, I found the last tax disc from 2000 and all the old MOT certificates from the first MOT in 1985 until the last MOT in 2000. It's not my intention to restore the bike in anyway just to strip it give it a good clean and keep as is.
Thanks for looking Ross

Thanks for the comments guysI've got a few days off now. So I'm going to strip the bike, give it a really good clean and treat the underside of the front and rear mudguards with some waxoyl. Get the MOT sorted and hopefully get out on her over the weekend. It'll be the first time I've ridden a superdream for over 30 years . ( Is that a Vespa in the background) Yes Britpete that my 1966 vespa SS180 I finished restoring it in 2016.. Thanks again Ross
