Quite a lot of negativity surrounding FB this week. I've had friends that have quit it this week, too.
What are your thoughts?

To many people have looked and been sold the glossy coating , ( that's why I never trust a sales person ).. or am I being cynical.!!
Well for me it's useful for the sites I belong to, have been very helpful...
But really.... what do you expect in this world of Information is power,... never trust a sales person... and that's any website or high street businesses... they all want something...
BUT THERE NOT GETTING MY SUPER DREAM....

Go in with your eyes open, dont give away anything about yourself that you wouldnt want in the public domain and accept it for what it is.
Be circumspect about anything you post.
I dont post anything about my political views as they are mine and for the ballot box only. I have friends with a different political outlook than me - but it doesnt stop us being friends.
I find Facebook a very useful tool for keeping in touch with friends who are wide-spread geographically and as a tool for my business.
Accept it for what it is and then nothing will surprise you.

Same sentiments as GB,good way to keep in touch with friends/family.I never post owt personal not even where I live,I know some that post all sorts of info which is ridiculous on a public site
