Wife's still a bit anti with me... Basically expected me to sit here all day behaving, tidy all my tools up in the spare bedroom, hide the engine I bought... And keep quiet.
So I have.... Unfortunately she left me with internet and no supervision. Ebay did call, I ignored it. eBay shouted, I declined to pay attention.... eBay cooed seductively, and like a sailor I fell for the siren song..
I was doing ever so well with the "buy an engine, do it up, flog it" Idea. That is, until she left the room.
I now have a frame with v5, carb and inlet manifolds on their way.... Sorry, I don't do stock, or practical.. but it will be back on the road in one guise or another..
Superdream? Wetdream?
I think I'll go "baddream"

They can't understand us blokes like to tinker and fix or create things, rather than go shopping at some shopping mall. You will be a better bloke than me if you can find a hidey hole to stash your bits without the wife finding them.

She is very skilled at apparently turning a blind eye... But that's only to make way for negotiation later as to what I need to do ,😂😂

As I always say, it's easier to get forgiveness than permission!

So, after a degree of correspondence with the gentleman last night regarding the frame, I get an email from the courier's saying "we'll pick it up tomorrow"
This morning I get asked by him for some contact details for the courier... Obviously I gave them.
Then I'm sent an email showing everything packed, and packing address labels...
This guy's on point!!!
Then a tracking number from the courier's
(I'm now getting scared, communication from couriers is like talking to a two year old - "it's English Jim, but not as we know it)
And then.. the piece of resistance as the French would say...
DVLA send me an email... Confirming ownership transferred to me and V5 should be with me in two weeks... Click here to tax or sorn.
Stop the world, I wanna get off... Too efficient for a Monday!!

Absolutely Steve. I've been extremely blessed on this project. The guy I bought the engine from asked if it was ok to bring it from Scunthorpe to Bradford as he might not have been available at the weekend... I'm north Manchester
He's in my favourite sellers list that's for sure. Rather pay a couple of quid extra from a gent than save money with a charlatan.
