Hi everyone, I'm Iain from Radcliffe north Manchester and I'm an alcoho... Wrong forum.

I'm 50 going on 7 and enjoy playing about with bikes. Just in the process of putting together a cb125s from '74 (very non stock).

Picked a CB250TE engine up yesterday to strip and rebuild then probably throw in a frame.

Here to pick brains, and get this thing running again. Will be a full strip. New seals, valves reseated, vapour blasted, new rings and anything else it needs. Just something to while some quiet hours away.

Thanks guys... It's changed its skin so many times I'm still not certain how it will end up.

The engine is statically timed, and if I use the crank to turn it over with a drill it's sparking well so I'm very happy.

It's just getting some spare time when it's dry to sort the frame out and get some spraying done... Hopefully get it done in time to get a final mot.

But I can start to play on the 250TE as well in the meantime.

Attacked with a grinder and no idea and ended up here...
