I reckon if we added all the SD's combined mileage together then divided by the number of them produced we would arrive somewhere near here if not spot on:
19,283.5

You have the real high milers and the real low milers skewing the figures at each end but I reckon we are bang on boy.

My 400 had 19,268 on the clock when I bought it so your calculations work for me😁

My 250 had 22k on the clock when I bought it and about 24 now
The German 35k km so 22k miles
The NC has 40k so must be classed as a high miler
Saying that when I bought the Honda H100 new in 1981 then sold it in 83 it had done 12k miles

That bike sounded so sweet as well.
Just goes to show, mileage does not always correlate to quietness on these motors.
To further back this up, a couple of years ago I had a 250NDB with under 8k on it that sounded like a bag of nails.

The guy who does my MOT each year & is a old school mechanic very good reputation with the 80s bikes & he says the mileage is not a problem as long as regular oil & maintained correctly these engines will go on & on & as I'm only doing around 1.5k a year on my SD I'm not to worried about the 50k coming up
