Most likely yobbos broke in knowing that the place had shut very recently and thought it a laugh to torch the place.

I first went there in 1970,not the friendliest of folk served me on a busy Saturday.Haven’t been there for quite a few years and I always preferred C&D Autos down the road for Beeza bits

Yes from what I knew of them they did seem to have that hard Brummie exterior.
Once you were through it I reckon they could be a lot warmer though.

Sadly no pics of the Starfire,I fitted ape hangers and a reverse cone mega to it.I also visited BSA factory Armoury road when I collected the Starfire after being repaired there after writing it off hitting a Ford Anglia .I passed Vale Onslows on way home

every saturday you would find me their.walked in one saturday for a part for my sunbeam the guy went missing for about 15 mins,but he came back with the part.....great place to chew the fat...bloody hell that was 1973....
