I have been a fan of the Ogri cartoons ever since I first got into bikes in the late 70's and I first started buying BIKE magazine, so I was naturally interested when the creator of the cartoons floated the idea of compiling all them into one book. Little did I know just how big this tome was going to be! But to get the project off the ground, he needed sufficient subscribers to make the enterprise worthwhile so, last September / October I paid my subscription and, as one of the 200 subscribers, reserved my limited edition copy. After a number of mishaps at the printers / bookbinders, where there machines suddenly decided to call it a day, my volume duly arrived (today). And WHAT a tome!!!!! This book is incredibly heavy........and large! And thick!!!! Forum mug (one of two still doing sterling service daily) positioned to give scale. I am going to enjoy reading this!!!!! GB

Carl, what are those famous set of (almost plasterscene) models?.....each and every model a set of biking mates together. Seen them a few times on ebay, one character in particular with a really long nose protruding through his helmet.
A famous set of 'model' characters. Apologies if not related to this.

We need to get someone on the case to get a set of forum models based on these....
Someone to come along to a place where we all would meet for a morning and then 'model' a character on each and every one that turned up......guess the ideal gang size being around eight to ten.....other bikes (non SD) would certainly be required as part of the gathering of course for variety purposes.

There is a firm that will take a digital scan of you and produce a 3D printed model of you. No idea as to the cost - probably quite high - but it is certainly do-able.
Off to take a gander now...........
