It was fantastic being able to get about & I will always remember the feeling even on my first bike CB50 restricted to 30mph in 1979 I used to go everywhere on that bike & it hardly used any fuel, GP100 next & that kept up with the traffic, happy days & fantasic memories that a lot of youngsters will never experience. GP100 Rich you do t see many around now when I had my CB 200 my mate Steve had one but I thought is was like a moped compared to my CB  it was nippy though  |

From 1973 all the way up to 1989 it was all bikes and a few plastic pigs then in 1991 I got my first car and bikes faded from my life I like to think of those early years as the freedom years  |

Hmmm....plastic pigs.
Someone on the Basingstoke Road in Reading used to have a Regal......was always parked up in the lay-by outside his or her house right through the 1980's......metallic greeny/blue, always looked in fine fettle. Local plates - black with silver digits.

I loved my Plastic Pigs had 3 of then N reg - wrote it off STY7Y C182LTN Me too Pete I had a couple of robins and a Regal saloon (plus a couple of dead ones I used for spares ) I remember skipping the regal round one of those famous 90 degree Lincolnshire bends it was up on two wheels as i went in (too fast) so I straightened it up and dropped it back onto 3 wheels then back on to two down onto three and kept doing it till I was round the corner scared the mrs half to death ,it did'nt do much for me either but the kids in the back thought it was great they kept asking me to do it again |

I had a camera but took no photos of early cars or bikes.Had a lot of fun with the van lol. Drove it on me Bike licence bought a Mini and took me test without any driving lessons passing first time

I bought the Mini and applied for the test thinking it would be ages but there was a Friday 13th coming up and nobody wanted that date so I went for it and passed in my own Mini

Dover - Ostend - Across Belgium Holland and into Germany
Got stopped by Custons on the way back
