Really good - especially if it stops bikes being cloned by scum then subsequently being used to cause havoc in the capital city. Yes, you know who you are.

This is bloody ridiculous......
Many folk use bikes in London to avoid congestion and the lunacy that is public transport - where are they supposed to go? The transport system there cannot cope now, how is it expected to cope when more people have to use it?
This is purely a money-making scheme - nothing more and nothing less.
Not that I have any intention of riding a bike in London................

Fordy is right if this happens in London and proves lucrative for the Council it will be rolled out to other cities as well. But there are not enough bikers to make much difference come election time so they probably don't give a s**t. The best way to fight it is to get everyone to write to the Council and object and asking them to justify / explain how putting motorcycles, which as has been stated contribute to easing congestion / pollution, of the road is of benefit. I have been told that writing a letter carries much more weight than posting on social media / email etc. as they have to respond to every letter sent. But will bikers take the time to write ? Probably not. Complacency is what gets stupid legislation like this through.
