I reckon it,s Terry on hi hols minus a back box 😂 , the higher handlebars don't suit the bike as much as the UK bars and make the bike handle a bit twitchy ....

WOW !!! Awesome find ...its official i have a badass film star in my garage, and that means also they must have sold at least 2 as well..or at least we are guessing lol. I bet if that bike had been a harley davidson they would not have dared blank out the decals for fear of having the studio burnt down....there is a lot of harley bigotry, and honda hatred here still. The look on faces when i say i have a HD as a spare bike and my main ride is a honda lol. Funny enough, with regards to the bars i was quite worried whether i would like it or not when i took delivery, However, that was the first thing i liked about the hawk, it is such a comfortable riding position. I genuinely never used to like the low bars on the uk version, as it used to cause my learther jacket to ride up around the shoulders, and on long stop start rides cause wrist ache a bit, the knees are not as bent too. But you know they say about opinions everyone has one lol

I agree with the bars! My mate has the lovely 400/4 seen in a few pics on here is a rare model only a 1000 in 77 were sold in the US and it had high bars all the ones upto that year had just UK bars with the big indicators and lights etc and when I had a go I thought it was so comfortable to ride and when I see a UK one now it think they look weird !

Got to agree with the pair of you the high bars make it the most comfortable ride possible without cruiser-fying it. I can ride my 400 for much longer than I ever could with the old 250

The bars on my 450DX are quite high too and contribute to a comfortable riding position, though I could do with lower foot pegs on a long run. You never get exactly what you want in one bike, do you? Hence many of us make the case for more than one

Hence many of us make the case for more than one That's exactly what Honda did with my mates rare 400/4 in the previous years as I said earlier models had US spec lights fitted and that was it but the 77 US spec 400/4 of which they only made 1072 models I think had more out front foot pegs thus legs are stretched out its only a couple of inches but it's so comfy to ride

No one has made the link yet between the handlebar moustache’s and the handlebars. There you go - I’ve made the link.

Do you think the tache cost him a few mph. Wouldn't matter on anything but a silver one, Stevie.

I bet that tashe acted as a great filter to stop the bugs flying up his nose past 90 mph....then again at least silver riders would not know or have to worry about this.....
