... to all on the Forum who have either cleaned, repaired or rode thier SDs this weekend. I must be getting soft in my old age but too cold in the garage for me this weekend.

My sd takes me to work and back 5 days a week for the last 6 years, that must be testament to how good these old hondas really are.

And Blade if I can

Like Chris said, the roads are still a bit wet in places here, so the SDs are staying in the shed for the time being. We had a little bimble to Castletown on the 500s on Friday, only about 10 miles all in. The bikes got mucky in the puddles, so no point in worrying about them now & we did the same again this afternoon. Not to cold on such a short run, but I did have the heated grips on.

Had a few trips out on the Burgman but won’t use the other bikes till salt has gone, heated grips and seat on the Burgman so anything above zero I’ll do.

Certainly agree.
As I came down the A46 my thoughts were that I need to be at work quick smart as I realised I was donning my summer gloves. I was on the silver SD and the ice was starting to bite my fingers.
Standing traffic ahead, I had two choices. I noticed there were workman on my right with a temporary traffic set up and a ramp was visible within the works...the second choice was to just sit in the traffic queue, so I took the bold move of winding back the throttle on the silver lightning bolt SD.......hit the ramp and jumped nine cars in the traffic queue - perfect landing just before the A439 roundabout.
Shaved around ten minutes off my journey time because of this......certainly paid off.

Did you have to use full revs to do the jump.

Second afterburner kicks in just before the red (sorry silver) line so yes, I did need the two afterburners to complete the jump successfully.
Turbo boost is playing up slightly - the button is fitted just under the idiot lights on the 250 versions but luckily this did not cause an issue this time.
She never let's me down, Stevie.
