I will be using mine but only if dry unless I get caught out as I use for work sometimes just to give it a run & if it rains in the day then I have to get it home

Bikes won't get out much in next few weeks as working a way a lot and tend to fly out Sunday afternoon but......
....plan to finish for Xmas on 15th Dec so will do some running about during the short day light hours
Been tempted to go on one of the VMCC runs on Boxing Day but Mrs keeps inviting her sister round

I won't be using the superdreams at all over winter, but my trusty old Suzuki will be used daily to go to work on in all but the most extreme weather conditions 😉

if its as dry as last year then will be on SD as much as possible but the road I live on is sheltered from the sun so it has to have been dry for a few days to get dry or its windy its used a lot by farmers so plenty of mud never any salt down in winter on low lying roads normally so that's not a problem fireblade is more tucked away in garage so not so keen to drag it out maybe once a month for a run but I don't start it if its not going out best left alone.

The SD won't be until next spring/summer, but I will be riding the GT all winter. Remember the golden rule - Leave yourself plenty of room to stop and treat everyone else on the road as an idiot.

Too much salt goes on Scottish roads, so I won't expose my dream or SD's to that. Once the first load of salt goes down, that's me done with bikes until March. Hopefully still a few nice days before the gritters come out.

not riding the superdream (it's still very much "in progress", hem...)
Am on the GPz at the moment - will carry on flogging it round the M25 until it gets too cold (2c on Monday was as cold as I want to bother in). That's assuming the current battery issues can be easily fixed.

I'll be using one of my SDs over winter. The 250NB was meant to be an every day bike, before the CB500R came along, but last year I laid it up in a friend's garage over winter as I ran out of space. The 400N got used though. This year it's the 400N in somebody else's garage, so I'll be using the 250 - unless it's cold enough for heated grips, then it'll be the CB500! Gill will be using her GPZ500 (must get some heated grips for that soon), everything else will be laid up, although I'll try and give them an occaisional run. I don't know which is best, leaving them unused all winter, or giving them a run from time to time.

I will be using my SD all through winter but only on dry days I sure it runs better when being used regularly & I miss not riding so it's good for me to for a blast every now & again

.... I don't know which is best, leaving them unused all winter, or giving them a run from time to time. AIUI the critical point is to make sure it's properly used - if you just turn it on and let it chunter, all you do is burn petrol, and warm things up enough to allow condensation to form and not clear. (and obv, you need to then put it away again properly if it's not going ot be used for a bit - eg draining float bowls etc). 20 + mile razz on a nice day = a good idea <5 miles slow moving with all the accessories on = not a good idea

I don't believe in the "Start it Once a Week" principle, if I'm putting a bike away - I give it a good wash,
- grease and lube everything including exposed polished metals,
- depending how difficult it is push brake pistons back so they are not in contact with the disc,
- remove the battery and put it on a maintenance charger,
- cover it up
- and forget about it till spring.
