A rare sight of sunshine this morning in the lakes. Usually can't see bottom of garden for rain. Crap weather gets sent over from NI neighbours, I blame Harold! Here`s another lovely day in the lakes listey, 28/9/17 on Scafell Pike summit

I like the sound of that. I'm lucky here. Nice view out front, much more land out back to build bike sheds and not many neighbours to moan about the noise. If it wasn't for your weather Harold, I'd be living the dream. If I walk down the bottom of garden I can justabout see Wazzbo on the top of the hill too. Only if I squint mind... Even got elastic-trickery up here now too, so if anyone's up this way, I can warm up some water for a brew! All welcome. I shall send Jeeves down in the morning to fettle the lawn in case of visitors....

Wow, looks fantastic up there Dave. Is there a bus service? My soon to be daughter in law Natalie wished there was ian, she was cream crackered! I had to do another hour and a half walk with the wife when we got back to the cottage, Nat went to bed for about three hours!!

Know the area well, I work down that way quite a bit and only live 10 miles or so away. I can usually found outside the pie shop in Gosforth. Its lovely and quiet down there, well away from the usual overpriced touristy places.

Yes listey,we liked the area a lot, I hate the honey pot areas of the lakes, too many people for me😀 I used to spend a lot of time in the lakes when I was a runner, loved being on the fells but hadn't been for a long time as it's that popular nowadays. Natalie is from the Midlands and had never been so we took them up for a week and she loved it.
