Trying to find more bits to plate so I did the clutch cable adjuster then went home and fitted it then I thought sod it and took the starter off and stipped it ready for plating cleaned ends up in blaster and wire brushed them to look good again

Well time to head home so left the starter body bubbling away in the plating tub Dave staying till midnight so he said will keep an eye on it ,don't know how such a big heavy lump will plate in our little kit🤔 ps in the time it took me to strip my starter Dave had nearly stripped a gsxr1100 motor oh to be a professional 😀

Well after an hour or so in the plater the main starter body is as good as it's going to get so I did the magnet screws and the body screws and fitted it all back together and she looks like new well nearly before and after just need to clean front of motor before I fit it but am on horsey duty 2mora taking the wife and her friend hunting but at least I will get a bit of grub so maybe sunday

Starter looks great, getting really good at this plating lark now! Just ordered a couple of clutch cable adjusters & lock rings from Silver's, 36 quid, and you can't even see 'em under those rubber boots

Didn't think they'd plate with all those grooves, and didn't expect them to be 9 quid each piece! Cut my order down fom 3 off each to 2 off each

If I'd got you to plate them I'd have saved enough to get us all chip baps for the rest of 2017 Mind you, the way the weather's going, there won't be many more rides to Peel this year
