Whatever happened to these? I bought them via ebay after a heads up conversation on the forum a few weeks ago.......on paper they 'arrived' to my Southern address on Saturday 2nd September at around 11:00am ......but they actually didn't, in reality. Unfortunately, the shipping service used did not require a P.O.D (signature). So where are they? Who's got 'em? Neighbours were all questioned at length to no avail - some under a spotlight with a Jack Regan style approach. If you see them, please let me know.

Had zilch. I'm watching eBay like a hawk - and will do for a while to try and understand where they've gone. Pete - yes seller refunded me but would rather have these clocks - they looked so tidy.

Ps - seller said Royal Mail second class was used. Never normally have a problem.

Well if you won auction for a really cheap price there is a chance seller did not want to let them go cheap so just pretended they were posted to you & just refund when you say you haven't got them, that stuff goes on which I expect you already know

It's easy for seller to just say Royal Mail lost them but in reality Royal Mail lose very little but get the blame as easy to lie

They were a buy it now though - not auction.
The suspicious amongst us may suspect that seller realised they'd sold too cheaply, got an email from someone offering more (after I'd bought them) - thus we are in the position. But what can you do? It's horrible to suspect an innocent man if he may have done nothing wrong.

I keep it quiet but for three years in the year 1993 - 1996 I worked for Royal Mail quality of service. My job was to monitor how long 1st clas & 2nd class took, the company was much better in those days & quality of service was fantastic to be honest it's not quite as good now due to the expense, but it's still better than the media sometimes show, it's easy to say it's in the post when it's clearly not, it's quite satisfying when a customer says "postie that parcel should of been here a week ago" & when you show them it was posted the day before they soon realise they have been fed porky pies

When I worked for DPD a couple of years ago, someone in the depot was nicking parcels. Not just cheap stuff either - phones, expensive watches etc. Whoever it was knew exactly what they were doing and more importantly how to avoid detection by the various hi-tech camera's etc.
To cut a long story short, the culprit was found to be one of the highest earning drivers who had worked for the company for years. He was jumped upon one morning by the police after receiving some sort of tip off to management - his home was found to be an Aladdin's Cave. My understanding is that he is still inside now.
Sadly, at least two of the young hard working loaders were sacked before this guy was found out as management suspected them.
