I just bought a new headlight rim today from a guy we deal with in work. It seems to be exactly the same as the original one I had, the only difference is there is a slight bevel in the original one at the back of the rim which is not on the new one. It is a NOS Honda part although the packaging was missing so I have no part number the only ref on it is Stanley 001 - 1293. It cost me £25.00 which I don't think is too bad, I will not be able to try it on until next week though. The one on the left is the original one that I took of the bike.

Is this for a 250, Harold?
I know the 250 SD rim was suitable for a few models, from memory the CM125 was one of them.

Yes Nick it's for my 250NA I'm not sure what the new one is for but comparing the two I think it will fit OK.

There may have been a slight design change.

Bad news is it doesn't fit it is slightly too small I think it may be for the CB250 or 400T. Can anyone advise who has a T model. Stanley 001 - 1293 is engraved on the inside this should also be on the glass of the head light itself.

I'm sure someone with a T will be along to help Harold.

Thanks for all your help I have tried doing a wee bit of research but can find no definitive answer. I tried it on the headlight housing and it seemed very slightly small, saying that I never tried putting the screws in and tightening them up so I may try that just to be sure. In the item on the first link Nick provided the part number is 33120-388-601 and the headlight has got 001 - 1293 on the glass but silvers and CMSNL do not tell you which model it is for, you would imagine as Nick said the rim should correspond with a headlight with the same Stanley number.

Yeah, it's a strange one, H. Here are two pictures just to show you the NOS 001-1293 I bought and fitted to my CB250N with no hassle at all. Second two pics show the one on my other CB250N which retains its original 001-1899 unit. You will spot the obvious difference on the glass itself? It's inverted. But no difference in size.

Thanks for that Nick I did fit the headlight unit into the rim and thought "happy days" but then when I went to fit it to the shell it seemed ever so slightly small and you could see the edge of the headlight shell. But I really should have fitted the screws and tightened them up. I will try that later and let you know how I get on. Thanks for taking the trouble to get those pics.

Can check but I'm pretty sure that the reflector unit on the CB250N also hails from a CB100N.
Remember the CB400N will be different as it is a halogen unit - also uses a different rim.
