Hi all been trying to work out ball park figures for restoring. Original look exhaust system £300 Frame £100powder coat Frame fingins £20 Side stand? Main stain? Seat foam cover ? Paint £200-£500 tank panels seat Tyres £120 ish Chrome??? Engine clean polish paint Engine rebuild Carbs Etc Was planning to strip and send frame off for powered coating, stands,swinging arm plus engine brackets, rear mud guard etc Then clean rest and reassemble. Coat chrome parts with clear after cleaning. Replace exhaust system as that's the bit that makes the bike in my book Rub tank do and clear coat. The tank is faded with very light patches of rust. But the inside is mint, with underneath been in very good condition for age. Was very surprised. ?

I would imagine it will cost at least twice as much as you think as that is what happened to most of us on here

I agree with Harold, as you go along, One new bit makes another bit look not so good so you get another new part ,and on it goes, and on and on...........

Agreed - back when i started about 3 years ago you could buy a tidy finished bike for about £750-800. I have easily spent 2-3 times that and my bike is still not finished. But it's the fun of the journey that has been the best bit for me, and for many others on here too I think.

Every resto is different,I bought a nice Jota cheap(big mistake lol)cost me a fortune over 2 years to get it "right" never again :Da tidy bike is all I desire now can't be doing with total original costs too much no matter what bike
