zinc plating the inside of the tank Has anyone ever done this or thought about zinc plating the inside of the tank? shooting-soldier-baby-emoticon

can't easily be done. plating works 'line of sight' only so it will never get round the corners or in to the nooks and crannies. This is why the electrolysis method of rust removal simply does not work (and is highly dangerous)
Paint the inside of the tank with red oxide primer as per the modern hinckley triumphs - you just don't get rust in Triumph tanks, even the early 92 ones.
Don't paint over rust! For this to work the metal MUST be 100% free of corrosion when the paint is applied.

Hi Is it a fuel resistant paint? Thought primers where porous. Hence the need to put lacure on to seal the paint?
