It was a CB250NB/NDB/CB400NB/NC etc etc etc
Basically a later one.....looked NOS underneath although it did look as if someone had sat on it at some stage.
Either way it sold quick.....must of been on GT for around an hour max.
I swear these secret squirrels are amongst us.
I think it does make you more 'coy' with your info....

Stuff is going for silly prices- I am certainly being gazumped a lot more often now and the bargains are getting harder to find and harder to keep quiet about....

I wonder why the sudden interest?

£400 bikes being tarted up to sell at a bag of sand or two thats why.....
Some shifty beggars jumping on the band wagon........ The chancers have cottoned on to the nostalgia factor of the humble Superdream and are wanting to cash in.
I am SO SO glad that Ian (Mansell) and I did our deal when we did.......

Mind you, to be fair, with this seat, price was not really the case as it was only 85 sovereigns.....it was just the speed in which it was snapped up that struck me.
One thought is that this forum and all our social laughs (non connected to ebay / price links) may be driving price and demand up alone which is a worry.
To be honest, I hate the parasites tapping into us for no genuine reason but I guess it happens with all bikes / vehicles when a following is cottoned onto.

But hang on......maybe I am forgetting the fact that the 250N was one of the best selling learner bikes in the late seventies / early eighties and these people have now matured (and so have their wallets) so it is probably not all down to us. Perhaps it was inevitable that the prices of the bikes and spares (esp NOS) would rise.
Yes the average folk are getting better at finding things, we've discussed it before.

I collect various marques, but the SD is unique as there is just so many of them still about- and also the NOS spares just keep coming out of hiding. There is probably still no excuse not to get what you want if you are patient and are prepared to do a bit of legwork.
e.g. I see yet another NOS front Comstar has popped up on Fleabay?....

I notice german ebay has changed over the last year or so, all the bargains have gone and the stuff is getting as shabby as most of our stuff. Also the good stuff is getting pricey.
