Fungo - with your collection now, I would be tempted to retire the Undercover from Active Service and drain all fluids completely and dry her out totally. She really is bordering on museum quality / ornament status - For Show Use Only.
You have others to ride - would be a shame to lose the quality of the Undercover.
These are my views and what I would do were she mine - A great hallway sculpture!!
What do the collective seriously think?

I do love riding this bike though - always have although I know it happens so little.
When I wound her up on Saturday it was great. This bike has always felt like the best most smoothest one. I think I would miss that.

I think riding it on as many dry days as possible is the way to go. Personally I can't see the point in having a bike which you can't ride.

I also run her near enough every week throughout the winter etc. I know this is suggested by some as not the best practice but at least the fuel is constantly flowing and I don't let it go stale.
I have a new collector in reserve for the time when it rots out.

Though I,ve not been fortunate enough to see the above bike I would doubt there,s any better , what would I do , I honestly can't decide , head says one thing and the heart another , I,ll have to sleep on it ....

don't drain the fluids out, it will rot inside even if it was stored in the house,(done this) and the gaskets will "dry" out and not work afterwards,
fill the engine up to the top with oil,and change once a year, even oil is hydroscopic (soaks up moisture) as does brake fluid,
if you decide to run her up regulary, make sure she's good and really hot enough so as the cold combustion gasses dont rot the engine components end pipes, you'll be suprised how acid they are, (never buy a car thats only been used just to nip down the shops),
lovely bike, send her over here and she can be nice and warm in the french summers,i'll look after her.

just use the bike nick (on dry days) show bikes are nice to see in big halls with fancy lights pointing at them,but from what i'v learn't with my nb,when I pull up at a bike shop or biker café,theres no better feeling seeing a load of people crowded round chatting about the bike.it can be a pain sometimes tho,you have to plan when you want to depart,as theres allways the twenty question,that delays you.tis good tho

Thanks guys......yeah I've had her now since 2005 and I've probably changed around five float needles over that time - have become an expert at doing this by just draining the carbs and dropping the bowls off.
I regularly change the oil for 10w/40 semi, probably too much to be fair. I do the filter every second change as well.
Plugs also get changed every year - they are not expensive.
I regularly polish her - chrome and paintwork....the biggest risk of low use is the exhaust system, but as I say, I have spares ready 'if and when' they finally rot out. I think I am lucky that my storage is generally dry - cold sometimes but always dry - it helps.
