Fitted Avon Roadriders to mine, 90/90-19 and 120/80-18 not the cheapest but lots of grip and handles really well.

Very available. 100/90-18 is the size that is dimensionally same as the OEM rear tyre, but as above many go up a size or two....

Mag Mopus were the original factory fitted tyres, I know...they were on my 1400 mile 400n when I bought it last January. The rubber had become very hard, no grip and I nearly came a cropper before I realised how old the tyres were. I don't cane the bike and I only do about 800 miles a year so I figured why buy top end expensive tyres? I did a lot of research and bought a pair of Maxxis Hi-Max from M&P Direct, front 100/90H19, rear 110/90H18. Cost around £95 the pair delivered and good reviews. They're tubeless, so you'll need to fit new tubes, five quid each. They fit perfectly and look good, I've had no problems in the last 700 miles or so...well pleased. Here's the link for M&P, M&P also sell them on Ebay. www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?catref=526156&tier1url=Tyres&tier2url=Road-Tyres&tier3url=Maxxis&tier4url=C906-C907-Hi-Max I bought a set of these and forgot to get the inertubes can they be fitted without them like tubeless car tyres or is that just a stupid question ??

If these tyres are going on a standard comstar (non reverse) you need tubes.....
On these rims, you can (and need to) use tubes with tubeless tyres, I understand
