THIS WEEK THE DAUGHTER IN LAW KILLED HER CAR .SON CAME ROUND THE CAR WILL NOT START,STARTER TRYING BUT NOT TURNING OVER OT CUT A LONG STORY SHORT TOOK A PLUG OUT ENGINE FULL OF WATER.SHE STAYTERD IT RAN FINE ITS A 1.2 16V CORSA AS ENNEY BODY HAD PROBLEMS LIKE THIS.

Yes a mate of mine at work, who does loads of forieners. Apparently it quite common on these Corsa's but is normally the water pump that fails which in turn then knackers the head gasket. I would fit a new pump as a matter when re-building, its not worth the chance.

TOOK THE HEAD TO BE REFACED THEY ADVISED TO CHANGE THE WATER PUMP AND HEAD BOLTS FITTING NEW CAM CHAIN KIT AS WELL,SHE STILL SHAYS THE CAR RAN OK
