So , with the box being NGK Yellow how could one distinguish the correct depth of colour if colour blind?

I think that one is a bit lame - the box could of faded...
But I think there are some good tips there. I always get mine from Halfords - It's maybe the ones on ebay you have to watch out for.

got some champion plugs for my trident it had ngk plugs in and ran ok .but wanted champions in but nobody stocks them know 4 for £12 plus pp ebay to the rescue .fitted the new plugs great ,some days later took the bike out after about 10 mile started misfiring then on to two then cut out and would not start .wife to the rescue took a plug out and the electrode had melted away the other two no better she stayed with the bike went home and got the old plugs all ok . contacted the seller no answer put a dispute in but he had ceased trading no grate financial loss but could have been catastrophic to the engine

So do you think this problem with spark plugs is more widespread, Mark? It is a worry if so......

Quality control not brilliant with NGK anyway I've had a few duds and I only buy from a motor factors via my Brother,answe is never buy from a non reliable source ie fleabag just to save couple quid

Found out about the fake plugs after that incident a frend got some fake brisk plugs they were that bad they would not screw into the head.the amount of stuff that's being faked now days is unbelievable even the wife got some dodgy dishwasher tables ebay is safe if you stick to the astablished traders

Agree not all fleabay sellers are rogues,I use same sellers for various items.But I never buy spark plugs online or from autojumbles,I only pay £2.50 each for NGKs so happy with that.I always found my Triumph twins would eat Champion plugs on regular basis in seventies.Nippon Denso supposed to be best you can get
