It's an American product - best sourced on ebay. It is around 15 nicker for a small tin.....but good at tidying pipes periodically.

I think so.....
SD headers have a habit of going bronze and these do get them back (to an extent).
In extreme cases, if your pipes are really getting discoloured often, I think you'd have to look at what your carbs are up to. (Too lean)......

I wonder if this will get a stain off my genuine header pipes? I must have splashed something onto one of them when they were hot. Autosol won't touch it.

No, this stuff (I don't think) is the best for that.
You need to get them really hot, then use an oven cleaning product for that kind of gash. (Wear oven gloves as well).

You think it'll sort my blueing out? I don't like it, but everybody else thinks the bike suits it. At least it shows that it does get used, and ridden hard too. My Matchless downpipe is quite discoloured too, looks a bit like its stainless actually. Its happened as the previous owner had the ignition retarded by quite a bit. Do genuine SD headers still blue?

Honda's bronze unless the heat is really extreme then the blue comes - coupled with the question of single or double skinned headers.
Brit bikes blued as a rule?
Am I right, am I wrong or am I just dreaming?

I actually think the blue oxide that appears on stainless steel pipes looks wonderful, I would never try to remove it. I would however try to shine up dulled chromed pipes.

I spent years trying to get this blueing effect on the exhaust of my Suzuki GS125 replaced pipe, by modifying carbs etc until someone explained to me that I was working with the wrong type of metal !
