my-fingers-are-crossed-smiley-emoticonlCheers I,ll start looking for a cdi If you need a 250 CDI to try for troubleshooting- let me know- you are not too far from me...... The Christmas Spirit is certainly flowing!!!! That is an offer that could save a lot of aggro.....

I reckon it'll sort him out... If not Paul (Gazza) I think you may have to look into having the generator re-wound - after some testing of course. Paul (Crouchy) is also very good with test meters by the way.

Well- I will not deny a few glasses of a good Chardonnay have been consumed- it's Saturday night!
I'm sure I've suggested this before and it fell a bit flat for some reason. How many times have we had members bikes just grind to a halt with this 'blummin coil/CDI/generator fault? If we had a "go" box with a tested good coil, CDI and generator inside. Member shouts for help. Box gets sent to him and he swaps out until he pinpoints the problem. Puts it all back in the box and sends it back. It's cost him a tenner in postage to find the fault. Then he can source the part he actually needs.....

Sounds like a damn good idea to me Paul - but dont remember it being brought up before...
But then, I am getting to be an old duffer lately and the grey matter is certainly getting addled.............

Would it be ok if I nicked the good coil out of the box before sending yous back the dud coil in it, nicely packaged from Dublin ! I will clean up dud coil so well that nobody will be able to tell the difference. Of course I will deny everything and blame the guy before me !

Yes I know what what you mean mine has been tucked up in a heated garage since 1st December only a mile away but I was missing it so on Sunday I went down to see it & roads were dry so could not resist it I did a five mile ride just to get it out of my system roll on spring
