I picked up my new Enfield 350 Classic today (in the rain)! 2 years old with only 650 miles on it. I love the look of the classic style and decided that the power was enough for the type of riding I do. We will see! Nick named 'Harry' as when my wife told our daughter what bike I was getting she said a 'Harry Enfield' She's not a biker!

Nice one Dave. that's a lovely bike. I'm sure you'll like it, I'm used to the power of my RE 350 now & it's fine - plenty of torque for pulling up hill & enough power for easy 55-65mph cruising which is plenty for me.

Took it out for a short run today as it was raining yesterday when I picked it up. Yes agree seems to have good pulling torque and I'm happy with 60- 65mph. Sitting next to the SD250 in the garage. Looking good together! It a very easy and relaxing bike to ride. SD is great as well, but wants to have plenty of revs and gear changes as we know! Bike looks big in the picture or I look small! I was standing back a bit from.the bike and it really isn't that big!😄

Congratulations on the new bike , I've had my Hunter over a year which is something like log term ownership by my standards...
I think up to about 60mph it feels a lot bigger/faster than it really is , as you say really easy and pleasant to ride , all at about 100mpg too .
Enjoy the bimbling !

Love the classic in that colour ,you will find it a very relaxing bike and easy to ride (if it's anything like my Meteor ,should be it's the same motor ) enjoy Dave and welcome to the clan

Took it out for a couple of hours this afternoon as weather has been behaving itself. Got low of fuel, but only just a few miles from home. I got confused because the trip came on to indicate 1.5 miles. I thought that can't be right as it only just came onto low fuel. Got home and read the book which says that's how far you have ride on reserve. What's the point if that! I want to know how far left, not how far I've gone. 🤔 Can't find any info on how much the reserve is. Any idea?

On the Meteor a separate "trip" comes on called trip F and you have 5 litres left but only 4.5 litres can be used the other half ltr remains in the fuel pump I give myself upto eighty miles to fill up (sixty if I'm on a fast road) I suppose it all depends on when your light comes on did'nt you get an owners manual with the bike ? it should tell you in there

Similar to what you said, but says 4l +/- 0.5, so worst case 3.5l, but 1.5l is dead stock ( I guess that means unusable) +/- 0.5, so worst case you have only 1.5l yikes! Best case would 3.5l, still not much. I think.the moral is don't get too low on fuel. 😀
