Hey, first time member here - living in Norway and from Colchester
Thankyou for the add!
Always dreamed of riding some Norwegian fjord roads on a bike and getting hands dirty with some cafe racer-esque mods - don't even have a bike licence yet though...
..so took a plunge at the deep end - bought a 1982 CB400N with ~46,000km on the clock, and didn't know much about the Super Dream, now very happy with it and can't wait to get started!
Very very new to everything motorbike so looking forward to the learning curve and would hugely appreciate all of the knowledge that I've realised is within this forum, and looking forward to sharing what I have to offer (when and if brain and experience allows!)
Looking forward to connecting Cheers!

Hello Yoshi, welcome to the club, I believe you know my brother Mura???
Lots of good people on here to help.
Nice looking bike, I do like the black and gold...reminds me of the F1 JPS cars of the 70's
Enjoy.

Hello and welcome Yoshi...That's one good looking clean motorcycle, has it just had a rebuild, or is bike cleaning your secret superpower... Love the way the seat has been lowered...Looks great..

Cheers Gee, Yeah I think I'll stick with black gold theme going forward - the JPS and the 60's/70's Wyer GT40 blue and orange schemes were my favourites so since it's less work to respray everything, JPS inspiration it is! Looked up Yoshimura - he sounds like a legend! And then watched some other Japanese guys hand bent some exhausts - what skills!

Hey willypigs, Appreciate the welcome! I've not touched it with a single cloth yet... the guy I bought it off rode it 4 times in two years, and I think he was pretty anal with maintenance and cleaning - the post he wrote for the ad when selling it was super super detailed with close-up pics of every tiny paint problem and spots of rust... He said it's originally from Sweden - and told me the Swedes are generally better at looking after things than Norwegians! The tyres are actually 20 years I found out... Shows how much it got rode even before the last owner! ... didn't know the seat had been lowered but can see from looking at other super dreams this seat doesn't quite look the same... asked the previous owner and he said he thought it was stock. Im only 5ft 6 so the lowered seat makes it easier for me to reach the floor haha!

There's a few cafe racers in the 'rebuilds' section on the forum & plenty on the web. I keep thinking I'll have a go at one myself & saved these 2. This is my favourite - looks the part without too much modding on the original. I particularly like the way they've 'disguised' the tank by leaving the rear corners black & colouring the sides to keep the horizontal line along tank & seat.
