Hi All, I am new to the group.
I have had my 400 for 5 years and want to refurbish the wheels, I have been fortunate enough to buy a new front wheel although very expensive its on the way.
i want to do the rear wheel and the front one as a spare, would anyone have either an exceptional rear wheel they want to sell or who are the best people to contact to restore the rear wheel.
thanks for you help in advance. Ian.

Welcome to the Forum!
What type of rear wheel, the natural anodized 18 x MT1.85 (tubed) or the later gold reverse comstar 18 x MT2.15 (tubeless)?

Hi. I think that Bodie may have "come up trumps", with a company that can refurbish comstar wheels. I was looking to get mine refurbished a few years ago, but as they weren't too bad just settled for a thorough clean. You've got me thinking now. Thanks. Mike.

Wish we could see some pictures of a refinished comstar (restored) on that site. To me it looks more like a damage repair service more than a cosmetical one. Would be keen to know what they can do with tired looking comstars (if anything).

Just to jump on the back of this thread, has anyone used the company which Bodie suggested? I'm curious too. I've powdercoated my comstars which seemed fine, but comparing them to the original look its miles out. I'd like to revert back to the original look, or near as dammit down the line.
Has anyone got any pointers? Potentially polish them and paint the centre hub?

On the centre piece the actual marks are from Wd 40 I’ve put on it whilst I do the SD up. Forgot to wipe them off before the pic.

Thanks Chris. Just rebuilding the front calliper at the moment but one of my threads shows an issue that’s developed with the neutral light. Taken me down a right bloody rabbit hole so everything stopped for that. Front end is done, forks dash etc so will send some when I get the light sorted so I can put the mess of wires back in the headlight 😀
