Still got one - a Chinook mountain bike I bought my son second hand from the fish shop (as you do!) about 20 years ago. I inherited it when he got a motor bike a few years later. I went out on it tonight - I'm ashamed to say, the first time this year! We used to use our bicycles a lot, but we've tended to leave them in the shed & get the motor bikes out more & more the last couple of years, so tonight was a start of a drive to try & get out on them more. We'll see how it goes...........

You must be joking! What I didn't admit to is we put the bikes in the car tonight & parked up at the bottom of the hill to our house, so when we got back (knackered in my case), we could just drive them back up the hill (well it is steep!)

Unknown Raleigh "racer" with Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub gears.
Weighed a ton, I went everywhere on it.
Oh to be young and stupid.
