I've just fitted one of the Silvers front mudguards, is it just me or is the hole for the cable guide lower than a genuine item, the cable just won't get down to it.
Pretty poor if it is, who's fitted one of these?
Cheers,
Fordy

Are you doing up your silver NA, Andy?
Thought it was a write off. Did you buy it back from the insurance?

Ps - the D.Silver item is essentially CX500 copy item and is sold by them for both the CX and CB250/400/T/N so not surprised that some fitting issues are experienced by some of you guys.

Hi Fordy. Mine fitted OK, below is a photo. May help. Could it be that the speedo cable is too short? I had an after market tacho cable that was too long. Mike. Mudguard by Michael Foster, on Flickr

I have also fitted one of these mudguards & ive had it a long while & its lasting fine & I did not have any issues with the hole being in wrong place I wonder if they made two versions as cx500 is in a different place

From the centre of that rivet to the centre of the cable guide hole is 118mm on an OEM mudguard.
Yours looks to be at least 50mm further down the muddy to me.....

Probably just me then, I'll take another look tomorrow, I was in too much of a rush to get out on this lovely evening for a ride.

Yes I did Fungo, all pretty much back together now, was a category D so mainly cosmetic, at the demand of my insurers I have to have it re-MOT'd now or they will cancel the insurance, and they've only given me 14 days.

Around ten years back I had a CX blade (top part of the muddy) re-chromed with the correct SD bracket.
After it was joined together I recall that the speedo cable retainer was not in the right position....but I got around it in one way or another.
