Make sure you clean it regularly wher the bracket meets the mudgard, I have the same one from silvers & if you don't keep on top of it it will rust in that area, did you underseal it ?

Would a thin bead of clear silicone sealer keep the water and crap out, just a little tip

I have preserved mudguards like this by running hot waxoyl all around the underneath - brace and edges. Use a fan heater or hair dryer to keep the stuff flowing.
It is also possible to drill off the rivets and refix with domed allan bolts so you can regularly clean and treat even more thoroughly.
Beauty of Waxoyl is you can easily redo it or remove it to paint...

I am a big fan of waxoyl myself, I was thinking more along the lines of silicone sealing the gaps between the bracket and the guard and also the over crimp flange all around the guard, just a thought.

I always "worry" that the smallest gap and water gets in and then it's doomed 'cos it can't dry out. But if you have had success, good idea too!

Just accidentally stumbled across a NOS original during my worldwide searches for CBR600 parts.
With shipping, it actually comes in cheaper than this DS item.
