That's it then.....the end of petrol vehicles by 2040.
Putting all my bikes and cars on eBay this weekend.

By 2040 I will be 79 so may have already moved to electric via a mobility scooter
Let's wait and see what happens - when leaded petrol went they made additive - looking forward to the electric conversion kit for the BSA

I'm just going to keep mine and run it from the starter motor  all the petrol tanks will be rotted out by 2040 so I'm thinking of filling the tank with Duracell battery's direct to starter motor |

It sounds strange but I've already employed start stop technology on mine in the town.
Kill switch in the off position = stop
Kill switch in the on position = start

So this 2040 ban , is it a ban on the sale of new petrol vehicles or will existing petrol vehicles be banned from our roads , concerned as my bike,ll only be 59 years old and there,ll be plenty of miles left in the old honda  ? |

They will just stop selling them we can still ride our Superdreams just no new stuff will be sold

But the barst47ds will put fuel duty up so much we will need to do a whip round to buy a tank of fuel

Just heard on the news ( here in Australia ) things are worse than they thought, so they are moving the date forward to Jan 1st 2018. So you better get rid pretty quick or they'll be worth nowt.

Just imagine , no exhaust note or the feeling of the engine, just a whistling noise , or the feeling you get when you,ve got an old bike up and running , cold nights in the shed messing with carbs and smelling of petrol and oil , what a shame future generations won't experience this 😐
