Had a new Honda arrive yesterday... it's actually more complete than you might expect: ...but not as complete as you might hope. At least it was cheap. Nothing more expensive than a cheap bike... So far it's full of interesting things... like siliconed exhaust flanges: Looking forward to digging deeper and seeing just how much this has been mangled in the previous owner's goal of making it into a cafe racer.

If all goes to plan there are going to be plenty of writeups on this one! First up I need to source some new carbs (as the current set have somehow had several things snapped off) so I can see if the seller's claim that it runs OK in the current state is in fact true...

Thanks for the welcome, both of you!
I usually resurrect slightly more oddball Hondas (or posties) but it's time for a change...

Kind of a mixed bag here so far... carbs weren't hard to find and there's a few seat options on eBay but things like the exhaust are probably going to be cheaper to make as far as headers and midpipes go than buy online with the shipping involved. Wemoto AU have a good selection of consumables (pads, cables, gaskets, bearings etc.) for decent prices.

Hmm, the previous owner tells me he had the stator cover off so that he could clean up the insides a bit... will be interested to see if everything is as it should be in there!
