Recently picked this up..... An old waxed Belstaff Trialmaster. The right level of old rank stale wax stench and itchy lining is also intact......been itching for an hour now since I tried it on for the first time - marvellous. The only downer is that the zip needs attention. Anyone know if they can be repaired? Cannot beat a classic Belly.

TBH I'm glad I don't still have my old one ! , although at this time of year it had began to soften so it no longer stood up on its own . I was amazed to get £80 for it on Ebay ........to a dealer who then marked it up by x3 , must have been all the "patina" , was a genuine cupboard find too ......

Used to black finger nails just putting it on , was all shiny in the high wear areas where the wax got polished up . Apprentice mate put his through the washing machine when his Mum was out - came out like a cotton casual jacket with no sign of wax ! But I may have just been surfing Ebay ...........

I reckon if I wore this into the Caz Bar in Stratford tonight I'd have birds all over me. They seem to be attracted by old waxed and leather bike jackets with a bit of patina. Strange old world.

I also have a Roadmaster (introduced in 1981) - a more slim line version of the Trial Master - it's very nice and I paid shed loads for it new in 2012. It's certainly what I'd call 'new generation' Belstaff though.

Yes that's what I'd want to pay.tenner lol.. trouble is they are trendy. I have worn them in the past, with dragging jeans and Frank Tom's boots but them moved on to leather's...
