 howdy all, im ash form milton keynes, and would like to say hello, i recentley brought a sd from ebay, a runner with little work neede for a mot, loooool, and well come to the end of my tether with it, after a £800 pound parts list and still more to go, and by no means a restoration or even a recondition, i came across this forum and joined, hoping you guys might be able to stimulate my passion again, and i might just get the bike completed, |

Yes Ash you will definately have a giggle we are'nt formal here not like some other forums and some of the lads are absolute wizards when it comes to sorting Superdreams so pull up a chair and I'll put the kettle on  |

thanks all, i can feel the inspiration coming back through, with regards to what the bike need doing..... everything, front to back, top to bottom.
im not sure how the seller ment by running and only a little work needed for the mot,
theres no cables, no brake hose, both the wheels buckeled, tyres are crap, both brakes are siezed, carbs have bits missing, including, no jeta, needles and sliders, missing nuts and bolts, rear suspension siezed, forks need rebuilding, swing arms rotten, seat pans like a collander, tank leakes, and the list goes on, i did contact the seller meny times and he blaimed the courier, (a friend of mine),
ive managed to buy meny off the repalcment parts,
a lot of the parts ive had to buy new from a local motorcycle shop, and a few items ive brought from ebay tank and plasicts, last week i
recieved a rotten (usable as advertised) seat, more like fit for the bin,
and this morning some replacmnet wheels and some new hiedenieu tyres and tubes,
fingers crossed i wont need to buy anything more, i hope,
just need time to work on it,

Ah , a bit to do then ?! I was quite lucky when I bought mine unseen from Ebay but it was the seller who delivered them so if they were not as described he would have taken them back ! I bought a "rust free" tank off Ebay , it was almost rust free in that the three gig holes were no longer rust .....  . Good luck with the rebuild and the time to do it ! |
