Just a quickie.
Got trouble at Fungo Towers.
Drained off some petrol on the grass the other day from the deluxe tank.
This morning I noticed that the grass in that area is all dead.
Anyone have any advice on how I can correct the matter before the lady of the manor notices it?
I have saturated the area with water. Will it grow back if I simply buy some grass seed and chuck it down?
Muchas GRASS ias.

When I dropped red wine on the carpet I was told to follow it up with some white...... Therefore I suggest lobbing some diesel at it andsee what happens Good luck

I think you're busted, the grass is dead. Either keep schtumn and blame next doors dog, suddenly suggest a new path or garden feature, or make amends.
All depends on how much you spilled. If a cupful or so then most may have evaporated and chopping a square of turf out and replacing from the local garden centre (or another part of the garden) will sort. Trouble with reseeding is that he moss and weeds will colonise first because they are more hardy and tolerant- plus new grass growing will be obvious.
Any more than a cupful and the soil will be contaminated, so as above but you will need to take at least 6-9" of topsoil away and replace first.

Nowt gets past em does it?! To put it right, when you get back to Blighty, pop into B&Q and pick up a lawn patch repair kit. It's basically grass seed mixed with compost and fertiliser. Scatter that over the burnt patch, and water it. I've done the same when petrol's leaked out of my lawnmower when cutting the grass, and that does the trick.
