Lately I don't know what's come over me......as I never thought I'd say this. But I am thinking it may make financial sense to sell something that I've owned for 11 years that is quite dear to me. The decision may be justified in many ways. But can I actually go through with it? It's a real toughie.  |

What you thinking of selling Nick ? My silver CB250ND-B,Rich. Also known on the forum as the 'undercover Deluxe'. She has appeared in the MCN and CMM over the years. Just thinking what the possible funds raised could buy. I'm not skint or down on my uppers - I have a decentish job with a renowned company. I just think it may be time to let someone display her in a museum so that she is at very least 'seen'. Well that would be my hope. One thing is for sure - I would never totally sell out. I will always own a Superdream right until I croak it. No one has to believe me on that but I know it's true - these bikes are my passion - this has not changed for sure. |

That's a big decision Nick & one which I'm sure you will ponder over before making any rash desisions, only you will know what's right, most of us on here would like you to keep it as it must be fantastic to own but you must have your reasons, Like you I will always have a Superdream as I do like my bigger bike as well but when I get older it will be much more practical to ride a Superdream & I really like them + I've got a loft full of spares to hopefully keep me on the road till I croak it  |

My gut feeling is that you should keep it If there,s no need to sell it ,a bike like that will increase in value not that it,s about the money , Don,t be hasty I reckon you,'ll regret it .....

Not being hasty but it could be time Paul. It's coming down to what I can get for her - and if I cannot get it then it's simple - she stays. And yes - everything has a price in the end it may seem....I think I'm going to cry. |

It is (was) actually the first time I have thought about it seriously, Steve. When I put her on ebay a few years ago it was just to drum up interest for the new site (which worked). At a 12k reserve I made sure she would not sell. I think I will put the idea out of my mind for now. It just hit me yesterday what I could buy with the money. But right now I think that letting her go would be a bit foolish. |
