So what was the story behind the front muddy- was the original one too far gone to keep?

So what was the story behind the front muddy- was the original one too far gone to keep? The original has some pitting and is in safe, dry storage, where it shall remain until I decide to have it rechromed, along with some other not so shiny bits. I just wanted to get the old girl back on the road and saw an aftermarket slightly used one on the bay for reasonable money. This was fitted to the original bracket (which had previously been painted black- so that shall also need to be re-chromed at a later date). Mike |
