Tel and Dave - not had chance to sit on it yet but sure does look comfy. The tailpiece fits onto the seat as well as the hump. Will stick a pic on soon with the tailpiece fitted - I took this one today and you'll see what I mean. I only had chance to plonk it on the bike today without properly fitting it.

I understand that to some this addition is the ultimate in bad taste - a real love or hate 'marmite' item. Sometimes I look at it and think it's horrendous. Then I look at it again and think, 'now that is quite classy'. It certainly is a well made item with a fibreglass base - very light. I wonder what this would have cost the average kid back in the day (in today's money?) There was a time that I would never entertain any accessory on my Superdreams......crash bars, nose fairings and seats such as this were a real turn off for me. It must be an age thing - it is only now that I am beginning to appreciate these period accessories.
Just to re-iterate - my original seat is staying put - I only intend this to be a part time accessory. But to be honest right now I like it.

The servants will be happy Nick, at least it will stop your drink induced midnight nude rides round the grounds of Fungo Towers, getting skid marks of that seat would be a nightmare
