.....do you have? Everyone is here because of there love of the SuperDream/Dream series, but do you also have other bikes from that era in your garage.
I have some modern bikes, but also have two sort of relevant bikes. They're both old, they're both Hondas, they're both twins, and they were both quite unpopular at the time!
This 1978 Honda CB500T, which I seem to be spending a ridiculous amount of money on getting it up to scratch! I always wanted one but couldn't afford to buy back in the seventies......
The first bike I ever bought new was a Honda VT600C Shadow in Cream in 1992. I always regretted selling it, and after years of searching I found an identical one in beautiful condition. A joy to ride and a keeper. The reason I looked for another one is evident in the picture - memories of my young son and me on it (he's a big strapping lad now).....
Hope you don't mind this diversion. I am currently scanning piccies of the two CB250T Dreams I had and will post them up along with the history and stories behind them.

My other bike is a BSA Bantam D14/4. Had it for about 5 years, restored it in 2012. Since then I have done about 2000 miles with it and been to a few local bike shows. All the best. Mike.

Thats a very nice CB500T you have there. I would like one of those myself. they seem to be quite rare? did they not have a brown seat as standard, or was that just a certain model? I sadly don't have a Superdream at the moment. I sold my 250N commuter a few months back but will come back to SDs in the future for sure....hopefuly with a 400. Some of my collection are below. I used to be a Honda man but slowly I seem to be collecting Suzukis not a conscious thing but Honda don't do a lot of Strokers which is what I'm into at the moment.... This is the bike that replaced the CB250N. A 1989 CRM250 MK1. (I don't know if I'll be keeping this one, see below) This little Suzuki TS185ER I picked up only last week. I plan on tiding it up but going to try not to go OTT and make it concourse as I actually want to ride the thing. This will be hard for me as once I start a rebuild I easily get carried away I do have a couple of Honda's though

Am I right in saying that the CB500T like 1stgarry has was in the day looked upon as a not very desireable bike getting bad press reports?and yes I think they did have brown seat covers,I personaly like them look bit like the black bombers from 60s

Hi Garry, I've currently got the following in my garage: Honda CB250N Deluxe (1982) Honda CB400NA (1981) Suzuki GSF600Y Bandit (2000) Suzuki GS500E (1993) And not currently in 'my' actual garage but another bike that I own and intend to restore is a CB400N from 1978.

But as always I seem to go for history's losers and I quite like them and would have one in the collection. Why? Because I love the history almost as much as riding and working on them. And the CB500T was the last incarnation of the CB450 lineage which changed biking forever in this country. Who has not heard of the "Black Bomber" - the design was radical and game changing....

I should still keep up with my mate on his DT250MX hopefully as I'm a few stone lighter! I have been offered a yellow TS250ER with 4000 genuine miles on the clock, in need of resto though as its been sitting somewhere damp. seller isn't in a rush so I may go for it next year - we'll see. One thing about the 185 is quite a few bits are still available to buy from suzuki I considered a KE175. My uncle used to have an immaculate lime green one and this was the first ever bike I was pillion on. We did lots of miles 2 up on that little KE and it never missed a beat. great little bikes. Parts are hard to find for them though and they are nikalsil bore which makes them more expensive to fix when they go wrong...

The CB500T's claim to fame was that it was Honda's one millionth motorcycle, and was ridden off the assembly line by Soichiro Honda himself.
