Yes Andy, engine was in situ when I polished it, I bought a buffing kit off fleabay, fits on your drill, only a tenner, worth every penny

Surely the central crankcase and fins are painted silver as per factory, Gordy?
You can certainly see the side covers are also closely following the factory line too (polished but not overly so).

Yes Fungo, the central crankcase and fins are as factory finished, what I meant to say is I haven't used any paint on the engine, I polished the casings and rocker covers with the magical Solvol
